The Challenge

McDonald’s wanted to elevate its sponsorship of the 2021 eMLS All-Star Challenge by creating a culturally ownable moment that amplified Latino youth voices and built excitement around the competition.

The Idea

Partnering with eMLS and Urban Latin artist DALEX, McDonald’s gave two lucky fans a chance to compete in the eMLS All-Star Challenge alongside eMLS pros, LigaMX legends, and celebrities from gaming, soccer, and music. To maximize social impact, FIFA streamer Edwin Castro,The Bachelor alum Yessenia Cruz, and content creator Israel Maldonado brought the campaign to life across social media, engaging their audiences and driving buzz around the event. McDonald’s also sponsored a virtual soccer and gaming youth clinic for underserved communities in LA, reinforcing its commitment to Latino youth.
