Microsoft launched Abuela-Approved AI to help moms embrace the power of Copilot to support their motherhood journey. Central to the campaign were the results of a new Microsoft survey that showed the growing role of AI in the lives of Latina moms – including 56% of them seeing AI as the “newest member of their parenting village that they never knew they needed.” At an exclusive event, moms, media, and content creators got hands-on with AI to see how Copilot goes beyond just practical assistance and can also be a source of emotional support and a cultural connector across generations. Microsoft also teased the debut of two new native Spanish voices for Copilot, which offer moms even more culturally authentic ways to integrate AI into their motherhood journey. We partnered with popular mom creators and their own moms (abuelas), to put Abuela-Approved AI to the test IRL, inviting all moms to embrace AI for themselves. Anchored in current themes of parenting in the tech age, evolving parental dynamics, and raising bicultural children, Abuela-Approved AI showed how Copilot is emerging as the modern-day “comadre” for Latina moms.
