Continue changing the perception of working at McDonald’s among the Hispanic community by highlighting the skills, experiences, and opportunities Crew members gain, showing that a first job at McDonald’s can set the foundation for long-term personal and professional growth.
McDonald’s hosted Employees Only, an event in Chicago in celebration of McDonald’s Crew and the 1 in 8 community. Actress and Emmy Award-winning TV host Clarissa Molina moderated the Fryside Chat, a lively panel with notable alumni, including Chris Redd, Chef Kwame, Faith Taylor, and Gianna Funkhouser, who shared their career journeys and reflections on starting at McDonald’s. The Crew had the chance to meet Clarissa afterward, capturing photos and connecting personally.
To close out the campaign, Clarissa returned to the McDonald’s restaurant where she worked her first job, surprising and delighting the Crew while giving her current employer, Univision’s El Gordo y La Flaca, a behind-the-scenes look at what a shift would have been like for her.
