Encourage multicultural adults over age 65 to make informed healthcare decisions

 

The Challenge

According to the CDC, nearly 9 out of 10 Americans have limited health literacy skills and struggle with understanding health-related information.

 

The Idea

To communicate the basics of Medicare and promote health literacy among multicultural adults over age 65 and their caregivers, we developed hyperlocal media relations strategies to raise awareness for UnitedHealthcare’s culturally-relevant initiatives and educational workshops, complete with notable and relatable keynote speakers, local influencers, and artists.
